    River runoff regridding tools
    River regridding runoff tools for MOM written by Russ Fiedler for COSIMA have been installed in the EasyBuild software environment. See here for an example of how they are used.

    The Accesscollab UMUI server is no longer supported, and we can't guarantee the safety of data on it. Please move any data on the 'Collab' page of the UMUI to the 'Accessdev' or 'Collab(local)' page. The 'Collab (local)' page contains copies of the Accescollab database from last year, if your jobs are present there no further action is required.
    To move an experiment folder right click on it and select 'copy' then go to the 'accessedev' or 'collab(local)' page and use the 'paste' button in the top right of umuix to copy all jobs in that folder.

    The Japanese Reanalysis for Ocean Model forcing (JRA55-do) is now available under ua8. There are some restrictions on use and redistribution is expressly forbidden. Contact climate_help@nci.org.au for more information.
    Repeat Year Forcing (RYF) derivative datasets are available under the same directory as above. In addition there are regridded runoff data for different MOM ocean configurations available in ua8. Contact climate_help@nci.org.au for more information.

    NOAA OISST
    NOAA is changing the delivery mode of OISST and also switching to netcdf4 format. I'm currently reviewing our download procedure and we'll finally have a new raw and modified version for this data. To help transitioning the v2-0_modifed version will stay in place.

    The resubmission frequency is set to 1 month, and should not be changed to less than 10 days to not impact performance.
    In this configuration, the model can simulate a model year in about 12 hours, at a cost of about 20,000 SU on the normal queue.

    The number of CPUs was changed to 26x32 (with 2OMP threads)

    Performance
    By default, the job runs on 104 cores. The decomposition is 26x32, with 2 OMP threads.
    The resubmission frequency is set to 1 month, and should not be changed to less than 10 days to not impact performance.
    In this configuration, the model can simulate a model year in about 12 hours, at a cost of about 20,000 SU on the normal queue.

    Global Atmosphere 7.1 N216
    To compare the performance on our systems with the MetOffice results, we have created a local version of the MetOffice's GA7.1 N216 model, specifically of their High Resolution Model Intercomparison Project. The ID of this rose is u-an493, which is a copy of the MetOffice's u-ai718, with only very few changes to make it compatible with NCI raijin:
    The paths to the ancillary files were adjusted
    The number of CPUs was changed to 26x32 (with 2OMP threads)
    The submission scripts were adapted for NCI (PBS, modules, etc)
