Sharing Scripts

The CMS team maintains a public git repository to store useful functions and scripts. This space is also free to be used by researchers within the CoE and CCRC, it can be found at, you can also check the Github Guides page for tips on how to share your work with Git.

A Mixing (MX) Oceanographic Toolbox (in Matlab) has been developed for the EM-APEX float data by a group including Amelie Meyer and Helen Phillips. You will find the toolbox here. The instructions to use the toolbox are in the file MX_library_report.pdf in the toolbox. When using this toolbox in publications, please include this citation:

Training Materials and Resources

A wide range of learning materials for computational science are available on the internet, in addition the CMS team has developed a number of training resources of our own. For introductory training we recommend the courses offered by Software Carpentry (available as online videos), they offer basic courses in Python as well as software development concepts like testing and program design.
